Mlando Joined Land Bank as an Analyst in October 2014 and was involved in Solvency Assessment Management (SAM) implementation, Own Risk and Solvency Assessment policy and report development and Crop reserving methodology development. He has experience in underwriting, analytics, data management, product development and pricing, reinsurance, capital modelling and reserving. He was subsequently promoted to head up the Land Bank Insurance Actuarial division in July 2017.
Prior to joining the Land Bank Insurance, Mlando worked as a Technical Underwriting Analyst at Nedbank Insurance (a division of Nedbank Limited) for 6 years.
Mlando Holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Pretoria. He is also a member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
