Thamaries is highly astute and innovative with expert pedigree in Enterprise Risk Management, Governance, Compliance and Internal Auditing. She has 21 years’ of experience working in banking, insurance, manufacturing and industrial research institutions. She has a proven tracked record in the industry with excellent analytical, technical and management acumen in leading people and strategic business in challenging and diverse environment.
Thamaries is not a stranger to Land Bank as she has worked for the Bank before joining Nedbank and later moved to Old Mutual Group in London and further to Old Mutual Rest of Africa, where she has acquired a solid International experience in her role as Head of Governance and Assurance. Thamaries hold a B.Tech Degree in Internal Auditing and a certificate in Risk Management. She is currently completing her Post Graduate Diploma in Risk Management. She is a member of The Institute of Risk Management South Africa and Compliance Institute Southern Africa.
In her current role as Head of Risk of the Land Bank’s Insurance Company – Life and Non-life, she is driving the development and embedding of the Risk Management and Internal Control Framework across both insurance entities.
